BRIDES, BELLS, AND BULL MASTIFFS:
Pages from the Diary of a Wedding Singer
Directed by John O'Neil
Musical arrangements and accompaniment by Jim Rice
After thirty years of singing weddings, Chrys has seen it all - from the elegant to the eccentric, the heart-warming to the heart breaking, the hauntingly beautiful to the hilarious. Chrys will make you smile, laugh and maybe even briefly shed a tear as she shares what she has learned about Wedding Day dos and don'ts, marriage, and the entire process of this thing called “love”. She will perform new arrangements of old familiar tunes such as “The Glory of Love” and “Just In Time”, as well as the less well known, but extraordinarily powerful ballad “Where Do I Go From Here?”, a song that will linger in your memory for a long time. Join Chrys for an evening of entertainment as she takes you down the aisle with her to some of the most memorable weddings she has sung through the years.
Chrys has been a soloist in churches in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. From 2000 - 2003, she worked as a duo with Alex Nakhimovsky, performing standards from the Great American Songbook and Broadway numbers at the Hartford Club in Hartford, CT., and at the Hillstead Museum in Farmington, CT. Chrys performed in her first cabaret, Luck Be A Lady, in 2003 at The Center for Arts in Natick and has since done guest spots at the famous Encore lounge in Boston as well as clubs in Clifden, Kenmare, and Parknasilla, Ireland.
